I am a forty-something writer, living with my husband, youngest daughter, two puppies, and an enormous cat in southwest Ohio.

We live just about a twenty minute drive from the teensy town where I was born and raised by my parents, a liberal college girl and a die hard redneck conservative member of the NRA.  They are still together.  I secretly think if they can get along, anyone ought to be able to.

I welcome open-minded new friends of just about every stripe.  If you are an adult human who blogs in English, who is not using a script to add eighty blue jillion strangers, and if you demonstrate a rudimentary command of that basic but nearly obsolete skill called manners, I will certainly add you back and gladly.

As of March 2008, this journal uses security filters. Writing entries are public, while the slightly more personal material is now friends-locked, with a special filter in place for times I need to share unpublished writing without compromising the rights to it.

Rating applies to public entries only and is subject to change without notice.
